Jupiter's 51% Rally Runs Into $0.38-$0.40 Wall

Jupiter sat at $0.3673 after MetaMask data showed a 51.37% jump from $0.2427 just a month earlier. The move brought the token back into a zone that capped every attempt since July.

Why the $0.38-$0.40 Band Still Matters

That range marked the April and June highs. Price got turned away both times with little follow-through. A clean break would need volume that simply has not shown up yet on this leg higher.

Traders who bought the dip in late August have now doubled their money. Some of that crowd started locking in gains as soon as the token touched $0.36. That selling pressure is exactly what kept the prior rallies from extending.

How This Run Compares With Earlier Attempts

The last 50% surge, back in March, also stalled inside the same $0.38-$0.40 pocket. It took six weeks for price to roll over and retrace half the gain. Nothing in the current tape suggests the pattern has changed.

Funding rates on perpetuals stayed neutral through the climb. That is unusual for a move of this size and hints that leverage has not crowded in yet. If longs start piling on, the unwind could be quick.

Market Reaction So Far

Spot volumes picked up modestly on the final leg above $0.35 but never spiked. Perpetual open interest rose only 12% during the same window. The move has stayed largely spot-driven rather than leveraged.

Still, the broader altcoin tape helped. Solana ecosystem tokens caught a bid after the network’s uptime metrics improved. Jupiter, as the main aggregator on that chain, rode the sector wave.

The Questions Still Open

Can the token absorb the profit-taking that always appears at $0.38 without giving back 15%? And if it does clear $0.40, where is the next supply pocket? Historical data points to $0.45-$0.47 as the obvious candidate.

October options expiry sits in two weeks. Gamma around the $0.40 strike has already started to build. Any push higher risks running straight into dealer hedging that could cap the move.

Watch the reaction at the first retest of $0.36. If that level flips to support, the path to $0.40 opens again. If it fails, the market has shown it is happy to hand back half the October gains in a hurry. Anyone long here should keep an eye on position size — sharp reversals at these levels have caught leveraged accounts off guard before.
